Chest pulse sensor

Hi, I've had my Pacemaker for 3 months, and I'm now back on my elliptical cross trainer. However I'm a bit weary about using my chest pulse sensor.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The sensor will not affect your pacer. However, your pacer may affect the sensor so don't rely on the numbers. When in doubt, count manually. The pacer can interfere and cause it to miss beats, or it can get confused and count pacer spikes as beats so the count is too high.

The monitor on my phone lights up all sorts of pretty colors when it thinks my rate is 250+! lol It's really only half that, it's counting pacing spikes.

I've been using a Garmin Vivofit with a chest strap monitor and find it pretty accurate. I've checked it with the monitor on my elliptical and stationary bike and they are all very close. I have had no problems affecting my PM or the monitor.
