Had pm for 2nd degree heart block. Never had pvc before pm but now I feel them late at night and when I do exercise especially cycling or jogging I go to bed and feel them more. Is this down to adrenaline still or am I just having to put up with this now every time I exercise. Do anyone else have this? I've been checked and told I'm fine. I'm 40 per cent paced right ventricle and 1per cent atrium. Has anyone tried magnesium with any success? Appreciate any comments

Pvc's

Hi: I am taking 800mg of magnesium daily and it has stopped my PVC's, but I got an at rest heart rate of 70-80, my PM is set at 60. I stopped eating food with added nitrate and now my heart rate is back to 60.
Cheers Roy

Thanks for your comments. I wasn't aware that magnesium raised your pulse rare. It's worth a try just for a good nights sleep. I still think maybe the heart is trying to adjust by still giving us extra beats when the pace maker is firing in. Has anyone going through menopause experienced this more due to lack of hormones.
A possible explanation

If you are paced more than 40% of the time in the right ventricle, the scientific literature suggests that one of the deleterious affects of bypassing the heart's native cardiac conduction system is increased sympathetic tone. Ask your doctor if that may be causing your PVCs.
The solution is to pace the ventricles at a site called the His bundle, to activate the heart normally.

Hi terry thanks for your input would they do that via a tweak or would the lead have to be moved.? Can they do this by changing a setting
many thanks

Magnesium every night

i take magnesium every night. Had them so bad it was irritating. I have none now. They also raised my restin heart rate around the same time so not positive which worked but it doesn't hurt to try.
