Hi all, have had a wee sad time of late my Mam passed away which for her is a kindness she had dementia and cancer and at the age of 88 I'm glad she is at peace.
In between times I was back seeing the Cardiologist and we decided to stop the beta blocker as he didn't think it was really helping with my problems at night. So going Au' natural for while to see if my heart just settles on its own after years of fighting against blocking/meds pacemaker the ablation, kind of makes sense, but still dont get why its much worse as soon as I lie down, just feels out of sync and you end up feeling quite rough.Even though we tend to be hyper aware I do think we know very well when things aren't right.Still to get the PM check so if anything shows up with that he will be back intouch. At least during the day I can get out and do stuff which mentally is so good as well as getting that lovely tired feeling from exercise and fresh air.Maybe the rest I will just have to suck up and put up.
All the best

so sorry to hear about your mum What a sad time for you but so agree about the benefits of going out in the fresh air when possible..nature can heal! With respect to the medications, I was on beta blockers for a while and another med..amiodarone for rhythm problems. After some blackouts and breathing difficulties it was found that meds had damaged thyroid gland. Things are better since I stopped taking them so I think you are wise to be careful , do the doctors really know what different drugs do when taken together?
keep well

Just because you have a device doesn't mean you are damaged goods and can't do anything worthwhile and have to lie down and die. In fact, you're better and stronger. You're bionic!

I am sorry to hear about your Mom, but at the same time I truly understand the feeling of relief that she is at peace. My mother is 92 with dementia.
I also understand the feeling of being grateful for the ability to get out, be active and enjoy the fresh air. While at times it is difficult, it is good to come to terms with the fact that the medical community doesn't always have all the answers. I do think it is good to see how things go without medication. While medications are often the answer and are very helpful, they also often have some pretty undesirable and/or unpleasant side-effects. So hopefully you will feel better without them!
Sincerely,
David
