Hi everyone
I have not posted for quite awhile but I come looking all the time
I have had my PM for 7 years PM at 2009 and battery still going strong
I get my PM checked every 3 months via the phone and every year to
my Electric Dr
So my question is they say that my battery has 9 years left
They changed my settings to where my heart kicks in first instead of
my PM sometimes this is confusing to me anyways, since they
changed the setting my pulse stays between 50 and 60 but lately
it has been staying at just 50 which is fine with me becuz its always
been set at 50 for the low however shouldn't my pulse go up and down
especially if I go upstairs and move around ? I send another report in
soon but I may call becuz I am a little concerned that my pulse is staying
pretty much near 50 and not moving...
Anyways if one has a remark please let me know
Thank you much
Breeze

On Demand

Got my pm Feb 2010 and less than a year later it was set (according to my dr) to "on demand", but my pulse goes up and down with activity. I have about 10 years left on my battery life. How are you measuring your pulse, oximeter, blood pressure cuff, etc?
settings

I take my blood pressure every morning shows my pulse
My pulse goes up and down too I wrote the above wrong My pulse is
Mostly steady at 50 52 which is fine for me
If I am active on the stairs and such my pulse goes up and then comes back down to where it should be for me
I am not pacing very much When I first got my pacemaker in 2009 I was pacing 100% now I am pacing around 16% my heart muscle has gotten stronger that is why they said last visit in Oct 2015 that my battery had 9 years left he said probably 2 more years So I have had it my battery for 7 years 2 more years would make it 9 years
So my first post above is not correct I guess when I got the settings changed for my heart to go first I thought something wasn't working right but it is and sometimes that gets confusing to me too
Anyways thank you for replying

You know you're wired when...
You need to be re-booted each morning.

Your heart rate should rise when you move, just like anyone else's heart.
If you have your device for 7 years, it doesn't sound right that it is still showing 9 years left. I guess it's possible but not very likely.
You may need an adjustment or more likely, it may be time for a replacement.
