Battery replacement

Just had mine replaced a week ago due to possible early, quick depletion of the original battery (original done in 2011). A lot of info on this on the internet - Google it.
THERE IS A PROBEM WITH CERTAIN BATTERIES - Go to site (St. Jude's in my case) enter info about your unit. Your cardiologist should have notifeied you if your in high-risk group - but aren't we all?
You know you're wired when...
Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Got the call 11/102016.

have a St. Jude pacemaker and just got a call from my doctor. There is an FDA advisory about premature battery failure. My doctor say swap it out within 2 weeks. I already had one of the defective leads and it was horrible. Freaking out here.
