Cycling with an ICD

I have had some short episodes of non sustained vt. My ICD hasn't to date hasn't fired!  I'm not on any medication.

I swim quite a bit. I want to get back into road cycling, anyone else a keen cyclist with an ICD? Much of the advice is about general cycling not road biking.

Thoughts and experiences anyone? Thank you

If you are cleared for exercise, go for it.

If you pace with rate response and depend on it to get your rate up during activity, you may struggle on smooth roads because the pacer isn't detecting the movement. However, if you have it for vt, then you may not pace at all so this is not an issue.

When in doubt, give your doctor's office a quick call.

This year I have covered 1750 on a road bike ( I am depended), I think you can do the same :)

Thanks

Thanks Karol. Have you an icd for vt?
