Ask 10 doctors, get 10 answers. There aren't enough of us out here to have concrete guidelines. I've been paced 20+ years, been doing CF for the last 5 1/2. My doctor is ok with it, said as long as I feel ok I don't have any restrictions. Some doctors say don't go overhead, some say overhead is ok but not too heavy, some say avoid the pull up bar, others like mine say go for it.
One caveat, if your device is very close to the surface or very close to your collarbone, avoid anything that puts direct pressure on it or would cause it to get pinched by pressure on the collarbone. Hitting the device will hurt, and pressure on the leads can damage them. Mine is lower and deeper so I don't worry about it.
Wait time after surgery also varies depending who you ask, anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months. Ease into it, don't try to RX everything your first week back.
You know you're wired when...
You have a new body part.

I live an extremely normal life now and my device does NOT hinder me in any way.
