It's called an interrogation because they are extracting information from your device. They take you into a darkened room and this big hairy guy comes in wearing rubber gloves and carrying a big electrical cable that he afixes to your chest. Relax, don't worry, they don't use rubber hoses to beat the information out of you anymore. Anyway they turn on a hot bright light and begin...

Not really, it's a simple process where a magnet is draped over your device and the computer talks to your pacer. The data stored in your device that monitors device parameters and what your heart is doing is downloaded to a computer and tells them how things are going, whether you have had any episodes and whether they need to adjust settings for your specific needs. Piece of cake

I have never understood why everyone insists on getting a copy of their interrogation when they have no idea how to interpret it...just ask your doctor or the pacemaker technician to explain what it says. That's why they go to school for years and make big $$$$

YES,BUT IN MY WORK I MONITOR A LOT OF MACHINES AND KEEP TRACK OF variables. I WONT TO KNOW IF I CAN USE A TYPE OF SPC

All that matters is how you feel! The doctor isn't going to kill you by screwing-up the settings on your PM. At least he won't kill you anytime soon. So really, it IS all about how you feel. Nothing wrong with obtaining and studying the reports if that is what you choose. Once you're feeling really good and want to read-up and learn more about optimizing the settings, then and only then will it matter. A lso nothing wrong with tracking changes.

I would guess that about 1:1,000,000 patients really understand their report to the extent that it matters. If you trust your doc and your tech to the extent that they will tell you the truth, then all you have to do is advise them that if they make any changes, you "must" know. You can then ask why? If you don't trust them, then find one you can trust! If you still can't find one you trust, then maybe you have trust issues you need to address.
