Walt Disney World Trip

Hi, just a quick question.

I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and am going to Disney World in Florida this June and was wondering if there were any rides at any of the theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) that I needed to be worried about or shouldn't ride.

When I go to Disneyland I ride everything except for Space Mountain because I'm not too sure if that is ok for me as well.

Thank you so much for the help!

Michelle

rides

How long have you had it? I'd be cautious the first year, after that go for it. The only ones I avoid are the newer coasters with magnetic brakes, you can tell them apart because they start/stop very quickly. The only two I can think of in Orlando off the top of my head are Manta at Seaworld and Hulk at Universal. If you use rate response, you may find your rate goes up on bumpy rides like Test Track. It's not dangerous, just feels a little odd if you're not expecting it.

Whatever you do, don't ask at the park! I know more than one person that did then wasn't allowed on any of the rides with heart warnings. Which is pretty much everything.

no complications for me

I went to Disney in 2012. No problems for me on any of the rides. The only big ride I skipped was "Tower of Terror" and that was not a pacemaker related decision but a "I don't like falling" decision. I can't say that my experiences will be the same for you, but no complications here.

Thank you!

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.
