I found this article (didn't read it) http://www.lifebeatonline.com/content/dam/bostonscientific/quality/education-resources/english/ACL_Smart_Key_Systems_101408.pdf

if you use the car like a normal human you should be fine.

I have no idea what t he cars of 2107 will be like.  All current vehicles are built to be compatible with implanted medical devices.  Electric, gas, solar or Flex.

I drive almost a every type of vehicle, never had any problems with my  heart rhythm device.

Almost all products meant for everyday use are safe for modern pacemakers. Pacemakers are now very common, manufacturers of both pacemakers and consumer goods want their products used by the masses. Yes, you and your pacemaker are safe.  Just be sure to purchase adequate insurance.

the only risk to you or your device from your car is how you drive. Stop worrying

You know you're wired when...

You read consumer reports before upgrading to a new model.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
