Zumba and bruising

So I started zumba yesterday and today around my scar is all bruised, it feels so sore today, can't even touch it. Only had my pacemaker fitted April 1st 2016, and still is really sore. Has anyone done zumba and is this normal? Please help?

ease into it

Sounds like you overdid it. Ice until it feels better, then try it again but be aware of moves that aggravate it and start slowly. Some moves will feel better with time, others may not. Modify anything that doesn't feel right- if it feels like you are hitting the device or the area around it pulls- stop and do something else. I don't do zumba but I do crossfit which uses pretty much everything. It took me about 3 or 4 months until I was back to doing everything without feeling it after.

I LOVE zumba but still have been a chicken to get back to it.   I was fitted October 2016 and each time I say I am going to go I back out of it.   I really really miss it.

Hope you are feeling better today!

ZUMBA!!

I LOVE ZUMBA! I'm an instructor and I have a Pacer (November 2016). Yes, it is weird getting back into it. I found that because of all the arm movements that it was a bit harder than I might have expected.

I will advise that you let the wound heal. I found with all the movement, that the pacer seemed to move too. Weird! Yes, I could feel it move! But I am back now, full-time, full-strength. I do find that my meds have a been an indicator to me too. I can't seem to go fullout just yet. In time.

Also, with the all of the arm movements, remember that anything can be modified. Have fun and party like a rockstar!
