Anybody ride horses?

hi everyone. Has anyone ever taking up horse back riding. I've been riding for 2 years and I love it. It's low impact but great for loosing weight.  I was 115 pounds 2 years ago now I'm 106 pounds. Its also good for your body and soul.  All ages can ride horses. You can just ride for fun or you can compete. For the past 2 years I have been competing my pony and we are doing great.

It depends on how your PM senses the need to speed up

I have a St Jude and only two activities were forbidden: operating a jack hammer and horse back riding. That's because the rate response feature depends on sensing up/down motion. I've never used a jack hammer and haven't been on a horse in years, but since even driving on a bumpy road can be uncomfortable, I expect riding a horse would be catastrophic. For me.

I know nothing about Medtronic. The answer could be different for you.  I'd suggest talking the question over with the pacemaker tech. In my experience they often know more about the specifics of a pacemaker than doctors do.

I have had a pacemaker for two years and also was anxious about riding.  I ride, jump and compete .

I basically have no problem unless I am on a strenuous jump circuit and I feel an adrenaline rush which pushes my rate up. If you are just hacking one should have no problem.
