ICD protector

Hi,

I have been using a chest protector fitted in a 'shooters vest' (see Elite Sports) for martial arts  for 2 years now and it has allowed me to continue at both judo & aikido practice, which I have done since 1965 and have no intention of stopping.

Obviously I am cautious and avoid taking 'heavy hits'. The protector is self moulding & fits in a pocket of the rash guard tee shirt, over my device. Left & right hand models are available. Mr Anthony Foy of the above company is most helpful & suggested the model I wear (as designed for rifle shooters to avoid chest & shoulder injury) from stock rather than an expensive custom made model.

I hope the information is helpful, don't stop just get savvy!

I am 2.5 weeks post op with my first PPM.  I had my follow up appointment with my doc just yesterday and asked him about the possibility of taking kick boxing or Jiujitsu classes with my little son.  He said absolutely NOT! Maybe this could be an option for me once I am totally and completely healed up.  I had no idea such thing existed. Thanks!

I have a similar protector for batting at cricket which I got from Sussex cricket club shop - brilliant - just Velcro tapes round the back

re paceguard

I use a paceguard product which one orders on line. I ordered the T shirt which has the pocket one places the guard in and you position over your pacemaker site.

works well.
