We stand underneath the same winds and skies that our God has given unto the first man. The very waters that man has been given is still here today. The sun that God has commanded to be will not fail to give us it's shining light. The seasons that never fall out of order continue to show us that God's word is still being obeyed. The stars will stand in their places to guide us in the night. What would we do if God's word were not real. How could we control the wind? How could we change the sky? How could we keep our water from disappearing? How could we hold a flaming ball of fire in its place? How could we keep the seasons coming in there rightful order? How could we keep the stars from running away into the night? HOW COULD YOU NOT BELIEVE THAT CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS AND WAS RESURRICTED ON THE THIRD DAY? FOR IF THE THINGS THAT HAVE NO LIFE IN THEM CONTINUE TO OBEY GOD. HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD WE OBEY GOD WHO HAS GIVEN US THE BREATH OF LIFE.
Life to many will begin and to many others it will be taken away. The flesh will not last forever but the Word of the Lord will continue forever. I know that many of us are sick and we truly need a miracle. I know there's no greater miracle then each and everyone of your names written in the Book of Life. If you have not excepted Jesus as your Savior do it the minute you read this posting. Ask the Lord to forgive you of all your sins. Ask Him to come into your life and make your heart clean. Ask Him to walk into your life and change it for ever. Tell Him you believe in Him who died on the cross that your sins would be forgiven. My friend your name is now in the Book of Life and your faith will grow as the seed has been planted in you. Love the Lord and remember today is RESURRECTION DAY!

Religion in the Pacemaker Club
by Christina - 2007-04-08 09:04:24
I believe that this wonderful website helps persons of many divergent faiths and religions. Believers and Non-believers.
Why can't we stick to our primary purpose of pacemakers and not use this forum to advocate any particular religion. Although I follow the Christian religion, there are many who do not and we need to make them feel welcome also.

I'm sorry that I may of offended you with my choice of topic on Easter Day, but if you are a Christian as you say you are, you would not be offended by my posting. If you recall one of the commandments that God has put forth is not to worship other Gods. My choice of religion is to worship Jesus as my saviour. If you are more worried about the beliefs of nonbelievers you are hardly a Christian and should reconsider your foundation of religion. Fortunatly, I am not sensative to what is evil in the Lords eyes. On another note, if you don't like my posting it's truly okay with me. May your Easter Day bring you a true spirit of the Resurrection.

You truly have been a great friend and partner in the Pacemaker club. I really appreciate all your kind words and your attention to my postings. It's really something because I just had my nightly praying time. The spirit is with you in a big way. I had you in my prayers tonight and you really came to my mind today. I prayed for healing and a great recovery for you and your family. I hope and wait for a good report from you in the near future. I love you very much in Jesus name. Continue to be that Woman of Power. You have not fail any of us in here and your words go much deeper then you realize. Take care and God bless you on this beautiful Resurrection Day.

Subject Religion
by SMITTY - 2007-04-09 01:04:33
James,
I think your comments prove, beyond a doubt, Christinas point. I didnt see her comment as critical of you or your faith, but I thought she was simply saying this forum was not the place for religious messages. I agree this is a forum to discuss pacemakers, ICDs and related heart problems, not religion. Certainly there is nothing wrong with telling someone we will have them in our prayers, or asking God to bless them, but I think we should leave it there.
I have seen enough of your messages to know you are a person with strong Christian beliefs. But we have people of many faiths reading our messages and comments, some of which may not be Christians. I see nothing wrong with that, and I am a firm believer that the most peaceful way to live for all of us is to simply live and let live. But before I bring up the subject of religion to anyone I want to know something about the beliefs of that person, to be certain I am not offensive.
While I was writing, my comment Lenora posted her comment so I adding to mine.
This is just what Im talking about. We have a controversy starting here over a subject that has absolutely nothing to do with the stated purpose of this site. I dont find James comments offensive, and Im not certain Christina does either, but religion is such a touchy subject, I would rather it not be the main subject of messages posted here.
But to one and all, do whatever you wish. When I look at a message I decide after just a few words if it is one I want to read and if my answer is no, I move on. As Rodney King said during a L.A. riot, people, cant we just get along?
God bless all of you,
Smitty

Many people here have valued your opinion and your wisdom. I understand when words are put in a soft tone peoples will tend to except it and understand where that person could make sense of things. You are one to make sense of a lot that has been asked from many on this site. I value what you say and I understand the total purpose is to encourage and inform one another about our pacemaker problems. I speak from my whole being that I have not lost my understandings of this site or furthermore I have not lost my faith and will not trade in any words I stated on the posting. I clearly wrote this posting because of the Holiday that people call Easter. If I would of wrote something about and little bunny delivering eggs, I guess that would have been more appropriate and more acceptable. My faith is not in a rabbit, but rather in something far more encouraging then anything I could hear about colored eggs. This is not an attack to you at all, just a reminder to all that I will not allow you guys to tell me what is right or wrong. If I have sinned because of what I wrote on this club then let God who I serve be the judge. Your great Smitty, but I have to tell it the way I believe it to be. Take care and God bless you.

Christina and Smitty Make Sense
by ted - 2007-04-09 02:04:27
I don't want to ratchet up the intensity of this latest controversy but Chrisina and our voice of wisdom Smitty expressed a very rational viewpoint designed to make this website a safe and friendly place. Christmmpace went further than expressing his viewpoint. His post was not in response to anything. He said, and I quote "If you have not excepted(sic) Jesus as your Savior do it the minute you read this posting." This is overzealous and offensive to me. Why can't we stay away from politics, religion, sexual preferences etc., and keep these personal beliefs to ourselves. This is one great website that renders help and comfort to so many of us. For Christmmpace to go on the attack because someone requested that he avoid using this forum to peddle his personal beliefs about how to be saved, is not very Christian.
This is what I think

Christina, there are many of us who do enjoy James' posts. I don't find anything offensive about them and have never heard anyone else complain. To me it's a noncontroversy.

Life does not stop with a pacemaker, even though it caught me off guard.

Hi James, Blessings to you on this most glorious of all days, when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour. It is a joyful time, a time of renewal when the earth seems to come alive again after the winter - well, some places are still getting hit with winter weather but their "rebirth" will be coming soon. I love it when the tulips pop their heads through the dirt and the leaves on the trees begin to unfurl. It is another reminder of how Awesome our God is!
