Magnetic phone holder

Has anyone had any experience with the small magnetic phone holders that fit into the car's vent? I know magnets plus pacemakers can be problematic, but I would imagine such a small magnet 3 feet from the PM wouln't be a problem.

Rule of thumb is 6", and that's only for strong magnets. So, don't put a big magnet in your pocket.

I have one of these magnets (by Anker) and I have no trouble with it at all.  Go for it!

phone box

These days the box they give you is fancy talks to your pacer every night or something, I dont have one yet and so far said no.  I have the old fashioned one that maybe only a percentage of the folks here have used/seen.  you put the phone down on the box, made computer modem like sounds as it modulated your ekg.  you wear two wrist straps one on each side and this big donut magnet.  With the magnet at point blank range it is still hard to get the pacer to switch to magnet mode...So I wouldnt worry about it, keep it away from being on the pacer sure, but not a mile away...

I assume the concern is being stuck in magnet mode, the pacer runs your bpm at a fixed rate that indicates your battery level, so it varies based on the battery level but basically while in that mode your rate is locked, so similar to when you go into safety mode and are stuck at 65bpm, just a higher rate, so you should feel this if you get stuck in this mode.  And if you get stuck in this mode, I assume replacement is the fix.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
