Has anyone torn their pocket just a bit? I am 4 weeks post 1st implant and when I was getting dressed, I think I possibly tore the pocket a little. I felt a pop and a little pain. The pm appears to be in the same spot as before, but feels just a bit different. If it tore a small amount, will it heal back up on it's own? I have put my immobilizer back on and plan to wear it for the next day or 2 so it doesn't have a chance to move.

I wouldn't worry about a little momentary pain. The way the pacemaker is put in allows it to shift a bit with the movement of your arm and shoulder. And healing scars will generate all kinds of "funny" feelings. A pulling sensation is rather common.
Actually, at this stage, the underlying muscles and tendons need to be stretched gently to assure that you regain your full range of motion. Immobilizing at this stage, except on a doctor's reccommendation, isn't neccessary and is probably a bad idea.
Thanks!

Thank you guys! Though it does feel a little different still, it no longer hurts. Y'all are the greatest!

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.

The pocket is just a build up of scar tissue, which at 4 weeks is just forming, so no you didn't rip anything. It's common, and harmless, to pull the scar tissue as we heal. Immobilizing is not necessary or a good idea, keeping the arm mobile is best. Ice will help.
