Shifting

Hello! Im one week after my ICD (single lead wire). I'm just struggling when sleeping and moving around. I'm 31, young busty lady and I am bouncing back quick as far as recovery goes but I find when I lay down or move around the device shifts too, most times it is very uncomfortable. Will it ever affix to one spot or will it always be like this? 

Hoping for some advice from others with a similar issue. Thanks!

It's normal to take a few months for it to settle in completely, for scar tissue to build up around it and make it numb. During that time, I found athletic bras to be more comfortable than regular ones, both for day and night. I have some from Champion that hook like a regular bra so no contorting to get it on and off, and they come in mega industrial strength so the girls don't bounce and make it worse.

My pacemaker used to move too - I think it was the best part of a year before it stopped, shifting when I laid on my side in bed.  These days I can sleep perfectly comfortably on either side.

a little uncomfortable -- I wore big blouses and went braless for awhile.

It will take awhile to settle in, once the tissue around it gets use to it being there. Im very busy as well and have had mine for 5yrs and I do have some night's still where I will get pins and needles in my arm on the side where my device (pacemaker & defibrillator) is, if I lay down on that side to long.. My grandmother had a pacemaker put in November of last year and she's still getting use to hers too. It's just something that will come in time.
