Is it common to see the pacemakers wires through your skin. Mine is recent replacement in left side of chest. I don't want them to break through.

Visible suface wires are no problem..just a bit like surface veins / arteries.
'Break Out'..is no joke....I had a PM Box breakout a while back...get that sorted ASAP !!!
Tattoo Man...done it all...
You know you're wired when...
You have a little piece of high-tech in your chest.

I can see my pacemaker and wires

Do you mean the pacemaker wires are coming through your skin?
or
The pacemaker wires are visible under the skin?
I have very pale, translucent, thin skin (my chest looks like someone drew a roadmap in blue ink on it) and the outline of the underlying pacemaker is so apparent you could easily make a tracing. In certain lights the wires can also be discerned. The older I get the more visible the pacemaker is.
I don't worry about it. Though thin, my skin is not especially fragile. I've had the pacemaker six years. So far, there has been no cause for concern.
If the wires were coming through and breaking the skin, in my opinion that would be an emergency requiring immediate medical attention since the danger of infection would be grave.
You might want to draw the visibility of the wires to your doctor's attention at your next visit.
