Rapid Rate Response Settings

I can do 30 min on my NuWay T-5 cross train  and  my Rapid Rate Response Sensors are set at Auto.  My  pulse stays between 69 to 72.  Anyone have similar situation and what adjustments were made.

I've never used one of those crosstrainers but if your rate is staying that low your rate response is not kicking in at all. That may be because you are seated, the pacer can't tell that you are exerting. It should pick up on arm movement, perhaps increasing the sensitivity would help. For sure call and ask to be seen.

No two of us are alike and devices vary, so knowing my settings won't help with your settings.

Rate Response

Wemt to Pacemaker Clinic today.  They determined based on rate response auto setting that the sensors were not picking up and basically my rate response was non existent.  They made changes and we walked with monitor attached.  On 2nd try all appeared to be working like it should be.  Since appt was early he recommended and since I was going shopping to monitor my heart rate (I have finger monitor) and when I get home to do 20 min on my cross trainor an call him and if necessary come back in and he would re adjust. I did and heart rate moved up and down when I slowed down.  I called and went over everything and along with I clearly felt better he seems to think at correct setting and if I necessary call and he would get me right in.  The rep from St Jude has been doing this for 38 years thus I feel very comfortable with his opinions.

Followup to PACEMAKER Clinic comments about AFIB by Dr

I sent message to Dr that Pacemaker Clin said I was in AFIB and I should discuss with Dr in order to possibly get me out of AFIB.  DR SAID Pacemaker tells them I AM  in AFIB and Said I in permanently AFIB and he not concerned.
