I retired about 2 years ago. Now aged 68 and active all my adult life. Played squash, then running till my knee stopped me, then cycling, now golf. With gym work to maintain strength base.
Bradicardia kicked in last week when collapse with HR dropping to 25 or below precipitated implant of pacemaker. No warning and lucky to be here.
Keen to find rehab programme to get me back to fitness safely. Currently walking 1 to 1.5 hours most days.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
Other than a heart rehab program

I went through a heart rehab program paid for by my medical insurance. Mostly it was a general fitness program to get me back in shape after a six day coma. The main empasis was on gradual and general strengthening. Overall it wasn't that difficult. Post rehab they said I could do anything I wanted to do.
TraceyE is the fitness guru on the forum. Hopefully she will chime in.
I don't think there is a specific fitness program. Each person is unique in their needs.
Mostly for me it was getting over the soreness of the implant and broken ribs. Then making sure I wasn't doing anything that would open the implant wound or damage the pacemaker leads. After a couple of years I was up to almost 100%.
