Hi all, VT four years ago, undiagnosed to this day. Had a scar causing VT. Docs think old viral infection or bacterial infection/ Had ICD implanted four years ago and had a successful ablation two years ago. Have been off meds and VT free ever since and running alot since. I still have an ICD. Had an explant due to my ventricular lead malfunctioning 1.5 weeks ago, they think scar tissue started causing it to malfunction. The whole thing was explanted and the new one implanted. I do not use my ICD at all for pacing or anything. It is only a secondary precaution now. I am still stiff and swollen and black and blue. But I feel great and walking about 4-5 miles a day. Doc said about 4 weeks that I can return to running. I am going nuts. Do you think I need to wait that long, or can I run a few miles in a week or so to start? Just curious what you all think. I know docs are pretty conservative.
