Medications may affect drinking and your heart, possibly the underlying condition, but simply having a pacer has no effect.

Wineo

I used to drink wine but gave it up completely about 2 years ago. It made my heart race someting awful. In fact, I wonder if that was an early symptom that I was developing heart block. I was visiting my daughter in Italy and the restaurants had table wine like we have glasses of water. I freely imbibed not knowing that it was stronger than a cheap American table wine. YIKES! My heart was going crazy (this was before my PM) and I couldn't sleep a lick. I was miserable. Fast forward 10 years and I needed a PM.
Most people on this site have no problem with their hearts/PMs when drinking - especially with low alcohol like beer. For me, however, it was something I could easily control and I feel much better without drinking. Give it a try and see how you feel! Happy New Year!
