stent and pacemaker

Had pacemaker and stent over  3 weeks ago, yet I notice very little improvement. How long before fitness returns. presently I bicycle 3 times a day and excercise.

You may need the settings adjusting

I assume that you haven't been back for your first pacemaker check-up yet ?   Often minor adjustments to the PM settings can make an enormous difference if you are into exercise.

Neither a PM nor a stent will give you back your "fitness" ,only more exercise will do that.  All they will give you is the abiliity to exercise better and fitness will follow

You don't say how symptomatic you were prior to getting the PM and stent . If you did have symptoms , do you still have those same symptoms  ?  You said in a previous post that your HR was only going up to 100 bpm . That is a classic sign of "chronotropic incompetence" and this does have a relatively easy fix by switching on and adjusting the " Rate Response" function of your pacemaker. Having said that ,  cycling may not trigger off the Rate Response particularly well.

We don't know how fit you were and how much fitness you have lost so it is difficult to give a meaningful answer other than :-

3 weeks in is still early days especially as you have had a double whammy with a combination of plumbing and electrical problems.

Best of luck

Ian
