After three months of problems and complaining, I had surgery to replace the lead. Well, I am still having problems. I have a very bad pain in my arm that comes and goes, a pinched feeling next to the pacemaker. Still have extreme burping and pain in the chest area.. I have an apt to see the heart doctor on the 5th. What would happen if I just told them to remove it?

And who wouldn't be? You've been through a rough time.
It's easy to date the onset of every problem to getting a pacemaker--but the pacemaker isn't the cause of absolutely everything that happens. It seems to me that you need some help sorting out and getting to the root cause of your complaints. Removing your pacemaker or the wires wouldn't neccessarily fix any of them--just land you in a worse mess.
Diagnosing is way above my pay grade, but seeing an orthopedist to make sure your don't have frozen shoulder causing your arm pain, and perhaps visiting a gastroenterologist to get a handle on the burping seems like a good idea to me.

I am having even worse pain today. I don’t expect to get it removed. Neither do I expect any help with it. It was installed because my heart rate went to 20 when I was having a sleep test and awake. I wasn’t given much info which is my fault. My family tells me it hurts because it is healing! Yea, right. Well, maybe I will get lucky. Thanks for all your comments.
Heart rate of 20 !!!

If you had it removed you would almost definitely die sooner than you want to.

I was bothered by your statement. "Neither do I expect any help with it."
When I realized my cardio either wouldn't or didn't know how to help me, I took myself (and my health care dollars) somewhere else. In my case, I went to a major teaching hospital, where more hard-to-diagnose problems are seen. Maybe it's time you did the same.
Call the doctor

If you are having a very bad pain in your arm, that is not normal.
Call and ask to be seen. Better to be safe than sorry. Don't wait until the 5th.

today I had an ultrasound of the heart and a chest X-ray to elucidate the cause of pain I’m the left arm
the Dr thoughtbit could be a thrombus in the vein where the leads went into the heart
i dont get the result but it was sent to my Dr

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
If you told them to remove it ……….

You have really had problems and you must be getting fed up BUT if you had your PM removed then your heart would revert back to the way it was.
You haven't said why you got a pacemaker in the first place ,for example if it was installed because your heart rate was too slow then removing it would give you a slow heartrate again.
Assuming that you have had it put in for good medical reasons then you do really need to persevere until it is comfortable.. The burping may be cured by a simple alteration to the PM settings and you need to discuss the other problems with your cardiologist.
Best of luck
