New Normal

Questions 1-5 are all YES.

Question 6 should be left up to her doctor, although many of us are on lifelong medications.

There are members here who have delivered healthy, beautiful babies after they had their pacemakers so that should ease her mind.

Back to Question 2  :)

She needs some recovery time so easy on the housework in the beginning.

You can assure the family she will be ok.

Hope she is feeling better.

life after pacemaker

Her life should go back to normal after she gets her pacemaker. The pacemaker will need to be changed every 5 - 10 years for the battery but she will have one the rest of her life. As for medications, that's dependent on how well she does with the pacemaker.

There will be periodic checks of the device to ensure everything is working correctly and make any adjustments necessary for her. Most people have to see the Dr once a year but it depends on whether her Doctor feels she should be seen more often.

There are very few restrictions with a pacemaker and nothing you listed is a problem. We have many members who've had babies after getting a pacemaker and no problems. Most people forget they even have one implanted.

Good luck and congratulations on the recent marriage.
