Heart palps > dizzy > warm sensation

Hi everyone,

I just had an odd episode while trying to fall asleep. I have a duel chamber PM by Medtronic (2nd degree heart block). I laid on my left side and felt my heart beating insanely fast, like palpitations. I started to move around and get a little antsy. As I sat up to check my pulse, I felt woozy and had that “pass out feeling” - similar to the interrogation feeling when they turn it off to run tests. I feel better now as I type this but still feel odd, like warm sensations around the PM site, and muscle twitches. Conveniently, I have my appt this Thursday with my doctor but I figured I’d share my experience anyway. Has anyone felt the warm sensations or random heart palps when at rest? Thanks.

Palpitations

Be sure to check with your Dr. and have them do an interrogation.   Your Pacer is 11 years old like my Medtronic.  I started feeling lousy.   Dizzy, no energy, etc. During interrogation Dr said ok time for a replacement, your pacer has gone into end of service mode, all bells and whistles are not working, that meant no rate response, and a steady base rate of 66.

Just got a Medtronic Azure and what a difference.

Good luck!  Let us know how you make out

warm sensations and palpitations

by Gotrhythm - 2018-03-13 13:13:11

I don't know what it means but I too have felt the warm sensation at the end of a palpitation episode. It's usually in the center of my back right behind the heart, and it feels like warm water trickling inside my chest.

It's really rather pleasant, and in my case, it always signals that the palpitation episode is over.

I have also had palpitations at rest, lying down, doing absolutely nothing. But also at any other time you care to name. Thre is nothing that I do or don't do that brings them on. For me, it seems to be just the nature of the beast.
