CRT-D heartbeat still irregular?

I have had my CRT-D since 2/1/18 for LBBB. Everything has been going great. I am healing and Im feeling better each week. I have only had my first checkup 12 days after pm with tech. He said everything looked fine. I will see doctor in April. I am waiting to start cardio rehab so I can find out exercises I can do. I am ready to get back in shape. I have gotten myself walking one hour every morning with no discomfort or SOB. I have one concern. Whenever I take my bp at times my machine shows an irregular heartbeat symbol. Does this mean I still have LBBB? I thought with the PM the irregular beat would be gone. Should I be concerned?

Beats me

LBBB simply is where your left ventricle is not beating at the same time as the right, they're not INSYNC. A CRT is used to synchronize the two sides. It does not correct other irregular beats. Happens to me all the time.

That said there are othe possible scenarios. One is you could be experiencing PMT (pacemaker meidated tachycardia) which basically means your CRT is not the brightest and is confused.

Finally there's the fact that home monitoring equipment isn't the best and doesn't like artifacts left by artificial pacing.

You should mention it to your Cardio and see if he wants to check it but nothing to worry over

How long?

Thanks Patch for the info it does help ease my worries. To answer Leilapalooza. I started back walking a week after pm. Mine is  sub pectoral so walking did cause my shoulder to ache. I used a lot of ice which really helps.  The first week I walked for 15 minutes in each week after added 15 more minutes. About four weeks I really noticed feeling better. Showering was no problem and I had to remind myself not to raise my arm too high. SOB did not keep me from walking the hour. Everyone is different so if it takes longer don’t worry. Your mom will get there at her own pace. I was not able to sleep well  because I couldn’t get comfortable. I tried to nap a lot and just this week I am sleeping so much better. Once you can get proper rest a lot seems to fall into place. I’m going to start Cardio  Rehab next week to build my stamina and muscle strength.  Maybe you could look into that for your mom, that may help in her recovery. Thanks for your answer also  and all the best to you and your mom.
