My wife is looking at getting a Body Vibration Platform and wonders if any other pacer people have one of these and if it is safe (or good)
On Amazon it is Pinty 2000W Whole Body Vibration Platform Exercise Machine with MP3 Player
Opinions and experience welcome
Thanks

If your wife's pacemaker has the rate responsive feature turned on, the vibrations could cause her heart rate to go up abnormally high. I don't even use the vibration feature in my recliner.

Ditto what Artist said. The vibration will make rate response kick in and raise the rate. I don't turn on massage chairs because I don't like the feeling. It's not harmful, but it doesn't feel good.
Need to check with the manufacturer

Hi
The one in my local gym clearly states not for people with pacemakers.
Contact the manufacturer is the best advice.
Not sure if these machines have any magnets in them
Good luck
Not a good idea

I don't yet have my pacemaker (due for impant this friday). I had my pre-op appointment today and on the list of things i can not do is use a exercise vibration platform. I am having a dual-chamber pacer.
Hope that helps.

I have a biventricular PM with defib. It's great! You are going to feel so much better after your body gets used to it. If you don't, make your EP change your settings. I felt terrible for the first few months & my cardiologist made the EP (who was ignoring me!) change my settings. I got the best breath of my life at the end of the settings change. It was constant improvement in my general well being after that. I have dilated cardiomyopathy from left bundle branch block which made my heart synchronize very poorly. I wish I'd given in and done it much sooner! My EF went from 18% to 45%. You will be happy with your results, I'm sure. The actual procedure is a piece of cake, much easier than I'd thought.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.

The website says it shakes the whole body. I have an ICD and it hurts me to bounce up and down or run fast, so I put a hand over my device and steady it against my chest. I don't know how it would feel on the machine.
