Today is 10 weeks after PM implant. Dr says I have no limitations. I want to return to what I enjoy doing, swimming and workout with weights. My Doctor however is too conservative. Wants me to wait for another 3 weeks.
I've read of people who have resumed their swimming and weight lifting after 6 weeks with no problems. I feel like going for it.

I think you should follow doctors advice. That way, when you start back up you dont need to worry about whether you are pushing it with your recovery. I too am a very active person, and will be going through the same workout withdrawal. But I think I will less fearful if I follow doctors advice .
I must agree with HopeFullHearted I think you should follow doctors advice.

I mean like why PUSH when you only talking three weeks??? OR like TracyE said, start now but go real SLOW increasing just a little every few days over the next 3-4-weeks! Like my Honey Bunch of Oats always gets after me! She says I get STUPID jump out there and walk 5-Miles after NOT hardly walking at all for several weeks. Then my Feet HURT my Legs HURT my Knees HURT then I don't walk again for at least 3-4-days? The Mrs. says don't really see where you did much good with that ONE BIG 4-5-Mile day???
Take it easy

TracyE is right. You want to take it easy. I didn't, pulled some underlying tissue and spent the next four weeks waiting for the soreness to go away.
I do heavy work at a wood shop. Spent the next year on and off with things being OK, then lifting or pulling heavy material, then being sore for several days. Now I can do anything I want without any problems. But it takes a while for the underlying tissue to fully heal.
How long to swimming

I have a bunch ventricular pacemaker that’s bigger so not sure this applies. I’ve been told to hold off on swimming and kayaking till twelve months later. My mate who got a normal pacemaker was back on his bike in four weeks. But I’d listen to your doctor. My risk is a wire moving. Happened two days in. I can’t recommend it.
You know you're wired when...
You participate in the Pacer Olympics.

How about you ease back into your old routine over the next three weeks? It's best to start slowly anyway. My doctor said after 8 weeks anything but a full golf swing, give that 3 months.
