Hi I have had a permanent pacemaker for two years now and I had a A V Node ablation in February 2018.
I am experiencing an abnormal heart rhythm when I have the pacemaker checked also I can feel it in my chest.
Does any other member experience the same symptons,I would appreciate your comments.
Thank you
Maureen.

You know you're wired when...
You can feel your fingers and toes again.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.
Feeling the interrogation

Some people feel nothing but it's really not unusual for you to be able to feel sensations in and around your heart when the tech does the pacemaker interrogation. Don't worry. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your heart, your pacemaker or the tech.
Well, I take it back about the tech. Good techs will listen to my plea that they tell me before doing something. I have a very sensitive startle reflex, and it's quite unpleasant when their little slow downs and voltage checks, etc. come out of the blue. Still, by now I know to expect it, and it only lasts for a second.
Also my heart often feels "funny" for an hour or two after interrogation, even if they didn't change anything. I think that's also not unusual.
