Digital dryer

I have recently had a pacemaker fitted ( 7 weeks ago) and every time I go near the dryer in my kitchen,  it lights up and makes the noises it usually makes when programming it. Is this normal? At the moment my children find it quite amusing but I am starting to worry that it will interfere with my pacemaker

Bluetooth?

Does your dryer have Bluetooth programming?  Some pacemakers use Bluetooth to communicate with the bedside monitor.  Perhaps your dryer's Bluetooth security isn't up to snuff.

Washing machine

Some years ago I was drying some large tins on the top of my washing machine, top loader, in the laundry.  As I placed the tins near the front of the machine, and near my pm the machine stopped.  I tried this many times with the same things happening.  I gave the machine to a daughter in law, after buying a front loader. Daughter in law has never had a problem and has tested it in the same way. ?pm?       Alma Annie
