why on earth would you think there would be a problem driving a fork lift. If there is it's certainly not due to the pacemaker

Provided your pacemaker is not in your ass ...

... as the motor will be under your seat, depending on the size of the forklift and whether it is electric or diesel you would most likely be ok - as TraceyE said to you on your generator post:

"Interference puts it in test mode where it paces at a steady rate, like when they are interrogated. It does not turn it off. If we pace a lot, we won't feel good, but we won't be unsafe. "

And as I said, it is a question of distance from the magnetic field of the motor.  But you will need an American club member to say if it might be difficult to get insurance.  Ideally do a test drive under supervision.

You might want to get a gauss meter - they are $40 or so from Amazon, and that way you can test for yourself (or get a friend to do it if you are worried).  I have seen one article (on healthunlocked.com) that says a gauss of 5 is ok, and maximum 10, but you might need to to a bit of research to check that.

I drive one all the time

The charity woodshop where I volunteer has a fork lift for moving in the larger bundles of wood.  I drive the unit all the time.  Pretty much no different from driving a car.  No problems.

You know you're wired when...

You are always wired and full of energy.
