So I got my pacemaker on June 5/18. My cardiologist said I'd be able to scuba dive afterwards, and resume all normal functions. I saw him today, July 23, and he told me I could go ahead, everything's good. He was unsure as to the depth the device could withstand, so I called the manufacturer's technical folks and asked.
I was told that the device is rated for 4 atmospheres of pressure. The Tech man was also clear that I should have the blessing of my cardiologist prior to going diving to ensure there isn't another factor that could come into play, but that the device itself will withstand ~100'.
Good enough for me!
