Possible 'Cardiac event'? Get checked out quickly
by LondonAndy - 2018-09-08 06:55:55
I hope not, but I had similar symptoms plus feeling nauseus, when I was waiting for aortic stenosis to be treated by having my heart valve replaced. Frankly I thought I was having a heart attack, but fortunately not: the emergency people described it as a "cardiac event". Worth getting checked.
I did not have a pacemaker at the time - that came as a result of surgical complication when they did the valve.
Possibly Angina....

It could be angina attacks. Feels almost like a heart attack only not as severe and you recover after a few minutes. Of course everyone feels it differently and you should get it checked out by your cardiologist to make sure it's nothing worse. To deal with it, for me, I use what is called vagal manuevers, a form of self chest compression using coughing. I also make sure to stretch my arms, basically anything to change the heart rythm and force it back into a stable beat.
I vote with Andy.

your symptoms sound like mine pre pacemaker. When I wore the Holter monitor, it showed how many pauses I was having. I also felt hot, sweaty, and after fainting it took a long time to recover.
get a pacemaker

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.

I ended up with a pacemaker, though I have no idea what exactly was causing this. I got the pacemaker because of long pauses but I didn't notice any pauses when that happened. I tried to correlate it with something that was happening at the time and I could never make sense of them. I only noticed one pause (the rest were during sleep) and it was a definite "what the f**k do I do now" moment. I may have had something like it since the PM but if it was the same thing it was really mild.
