I have had my dual lead pacemaker for two and a half years, for sick sinus syndrome and bradychardia. I have not had any real problems, apart from soreness at site when I became very hot during the summer. However, for the past three weks or so, I have been having severe palpitations whenever I use my laptop; it is the same one I have had for several years, so I have no idea why. If anybody has any thoughts on this, I'd be grateful!

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

Since you had both pacemaker and laptop for years before the advent of palpitiations, my absolutely UNprofessional opinion is that there is no relation among the three.
Here's what I do know of my own experience. Heart conditions change over time. They just do.
Fortinately, in and of themselves, most palpitations are no cause for alarm. By all means mention them to your doctor, but don't be surprised if all you get is a shrug.
