Hi all, I have had an AV ablation which now that I have settled down seems to be letting me get away with less AF episodes. However I am now occasionlly experiencing Ectopy problems and my my Pacemaker clinic says that there is nothing they can do about this to help ?
Any one else having this problem ?

Hi every one. Since having had an AV node ablation, as above I get odd times of annoying ectopics. However I have I think discovered something that helps and I would like to share it with you. When I get these ectopics I noticed that there is a tender spot on or very near where my third rib down on my left side joins my sternum. By appling pressure with my finger tip to this spot till it gradually becomes less tender it seems to chase away the ectopics ! Has anyone else exerienced any thing like this ?

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.

Ectopics are random beats the heart does on its own. The pacer is only a gas pedal, not a brake, so it can't keep the heart from doing it.
