Will having subwoofers affect my defibrillator?

I was wondering if having subwoofer system in my car affect my defibrillator? Or maybe the amplifier hooked to the stereo and subwoofers.

They'd have to be within 6" of your device to have an effect.

Not directly...

The magnetic field would be to far away and to weak to have an impact.  But, music can directly affect your heart beat/rate.  An ICD is there to detect and shock you out of VTach or Vfib so it may just be sensing changes in your heart rate from the loud music, or maybe it's the driving, don't know but you can try lowering the volume or turning it off, playing different music, etc.   I have a similar issue going into casinos with the flasing lights and noise.

try it out

I can deal with most speakers on no problem but I went into a best buy with a HUGE Sony seaker blasting some bass heavy music and I felt weird, like worried or something. I had to be quite a distance, 20 ft away or more, and I was fine but it made me really anxious around headphones and speakers for a week and then it just disappeared. I would see if you can test them at volumes you would normally listen at to be sure. That said I wouldn't be too worried about it.

You know you're wired when...

You always run anti-virus software.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
