Altitude

My cardiologist told me that lesser oxygen at higher altitudes can trigger tachycardia considering the damage I sustained from a prior heart attack. My ICD does anti tachycardia pacing (ATP) before issuing the major shock. I have had shortness of breath at altitudes in the past, before the ICD. I have not traveled to high elevations since the ICD so I do not know how it will be.
Your situation may be different. Recommend talking to your cardiologist.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

Other members have. If you do a search (teensy icon in the upper right corner), it comes up fairly often. I wouldn't do it if your device is less than a year old, and run it by your doctor first. The device isn't usually a problem but the underlying reason why you have it may be.
