Hi everyone! New to this club and to pacemaker equipment as of January 29th, 2019. Wondering if anyone out there is a Mechanic or a Welder that also has a pacemaker and how it has changed their work place day to day stuff. Things that could affect the pacemaker operation, what to avoid and what to do to protect so can do normal routine of job. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I enjoy my work and want to continue it.

Thanks for the informative feedback on that. I am abit nervous about this area of my work but will be cautious and aware of my area when working in those situations. Thanks again. I did look at past posts and did get some helpful info from that too.

If you do a search of past posts, welding comes up fairly often and there have been some details discussions. ARC is not recommended, other forms should be ok. We should keep our distance from generators or anything else with a large magnet, however they need to be very strong as well as within 6" of our device before they'll cause a problem, so it's not hard to stay safe. I've jump started cars and run our generator after a hurricane, I just didn't linger when I was close.
