Hi all. I have a Dual lead pm, 2,5 yrs already. Is it possible that a car remote can jam, meaning not lock due to my pacemaker? Do my pm signals jam the remote? Car beeps and says “Key not detected”.... and I changed the batteries of both the remotes but still it happens when I try locking the car. Weird. It only happens with me, but no one else that drives the car. Sounds crazy hey. Anyone else experience it? 😊

It could be a dead key fob battery.

Hi, my car wouldn't operate with one of my keys. So, I went in the house and got the other key fob. Seems the one key fob had a dead battery. We had the key fob battery replaced and everyting is working great again.

Sure you're not trying to lock it with a key in the car? My mother was trying to lock her car once and it wasn't working. She forgot she had put her luggage in the trunk for a trip they were going on the next day and had put her spare key in it. Finally realized it but she thought was an issue with the car.

Guess nobody told you, it's a feature to prevent distracted driving. When your heart is acting up it sends a signal to your remote locking you out so that you can't drive.
Now I know you're shsking your hesd and doubting me but try this. Using your cars remote push the trunk release button. If your panties fall down it proves you have this feature

Thanks for your feedback. No problem with the remotes battery, replaced it after it happened to me last week and then it happened now again. Anyway, just strange.
Take care all.
Something to try

OK, the one poster who was trying to be a smart donkey did suggest one thing to try. See if the trunk release will work. If it does, it's not the battery in the remote. I very much doubt that the PM can give out a powerful enough signal to interfer with the remote, and they are definately not on the same radio frequency. I've never heard of anything like this - does this happen to others with the same fob? (Just double-checking) I had to change out the battery for my Tacoma remote and wound up having to re-sync it to the vehicle. Just a thought since for me, there was no response from the vehicle when the fob was used and that doesn't sound like what you're seeing.
