Left breast cancer and radiation with PM

I have read a few posts asking for experiences with radiation on the left breast after a lumpectomy, but have not seen many actual experiences of people who did have the radiation. Can anyone tell me if they had it without moving the PM, and if they did move the PM where did they put it and was is unaffected by the radiation? I will be meeting with the radiologist oncologist this week, but would love to hear personal experiences.

Thank you.

radiation

I ended up not needing radiation but I had a growth right next to my pacer last year and did a lot of research in the weeks between finding out about it and getting the biopsy back. I did not find any cases of doing radiation on the same side as the pacer. My ep was prepared to move the pacer to the other side or the abdomen if there is risk of having a problem at a later date with the other breast. Hopefully someone will have some personal experience to share but that's what I found from talking to my ep and researching online, that they will want to move the pacer.  If they haven't already, I would ask the oncologist to have a conversation with your ep to make sure everyone is on the same page. Good luck to you.
