Smart Watches

Hello  can anyone tell me if it is safe to wear a smartwatch with a pacemaker.

Yes, it's safe.

Modern PMs, especially with bipolar leads, are very resistant to interference from other devices.  Yes, there *are* some special cases where holding a powerful device right over the PM can temporarily interfere with the PM's normal sensing and cause an issue, but you have to work very hard to do this yourself.  Probably the commonest cause of real issues is the handheld security metal detector wand you sometimes see at big public events and secured areas like airports: other contributors here may have their own experiences.

Otherwise, *almost* all of the things to avoid if you have a PM are out of date or just plain incorrect (they were never true), but are endlessly perpetuated.

Best wishes.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
