Just unpacked a new Macbook Air and the notes indicate powerful batteries may interfere with medical devices. Anyone have experience with this?

No problem. I regularly ( as now) use one resting on my knee. I dare say if you were to hold the MacBook Air right next to your pacemaker, the PM may go into default mode or something, but who would do that? I would just treat your MacBook as a large mobile phone type of device. I think 6 inches is the recommended distance to keep a mobile phone away from a PM. Your laptop is perfectly safe used on your knee with legs crossed at waist hight. Used one for 7 years like that- no problem.

If you feel asleep hugging it, it miiiiiiight be a problem. But probably not. 6" is the rule of thumb for anything questionable, but it's unlikely anything in the home will cause interference.

legal protection/fear, ink is cheap.
Cant see how it would affect your device. If they have strong fields leaking out of the device they wouldnt get the CE and UL and other labels.
