Surgery scheduled!!!

Hi everyone,
So I had my consultation this morning and my dr. is going to let me wean off ALL of my meds which make me feel so terrible(YAYYYYY) so we will see how I feel the next few days with the drugs. My PM implant surgery is scheduled for this Friday morning, June 8th. I am now excited and all of the sudden my husband is nervous. I think that has partly to do with the fact that my parents are coming down to help out just for a couple days while I recover, so he has to deal with his in-laws, LOL. I am 99% relieved and only a tad bit nervous. Mostly just soooooo ready to feel normal again. I was in the grocery store the other day and used one of those blood pressure/pulse monitors, and both were really low, which made very frustrated! I thought the meds were supposed to be fixing that, but instead they are just giving me awful side effects!!! Anyways, so my surgery is Friday morning and they said they want to keep me overnight for one night to monitor me and stuff, and then I'll go home Saturday. Thanks for everybody's kind words and support, and Valerie thanks for your note last night!!!
Talk to you all soon,
Constance

Constance,

You have a wonderful attitude going in to surgery. You are going to be fine. You know that this is what you need to feel well again and you are going for it. Of course, you and your husband are going to be a little nervous. This is surgery and a bit of a life change, but only for the better. Of course, the whole in-law thing, well that is another story! You will both really appreciate the help for a few days. You just take the time you need to recover. Let them pamper you a little bit!

Let us know how you are after the surgery. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Michelle

hi Constance,
Just want to let you know that having the surgery will be fine.
I'm six weeks into recovery and the quality of my life has changed so much, this PM is a mircle worker.
Listen to the docs about arm movements and you might need to have settings changed after that your life will be better than ever. Good luck and keep us informed on your progress.
