Replacement Biotronik home monitor

Good evening to all - I was contacted today by my PM clinic to appear next week to bring my 4-year-old Biotronik home monitor in for a replacement - is anybody else getting the same instructions?  I don't know if this is an upgrade or essentially an equal replacement due to findings of problems.

I don't have Biotronik but 3G is being phased out so most of the companies are being forced to do upgrades to the monitors. I got a new adapter for my Abbott a few weeks ago.

Probably just an upgrade.  Got my Biotronik monitor a month ago after PM implanted and it's a 4g.

Thanks Tracey and Daedalus

Makes good sense - this wasn't on my radar since I don't actually interact with the monitor; it just discreetly does what it does without anything being required of me beyond making sure it's powered up.

same!

Mine lives under my bed wrapped in a towel, I only think about it if I catch the edge of the cord with the vacuum cleaner. I got the adapter in the mail with a note that said upgrades. Google told me about 3G.
