Got my biventricular device 2/15 in NJ from same surgeon that did my ablation. Just had my first follow up visit/wound inspection. I had a myectomy with my sternum sawed open 11 years ago so the incision site to me looked good. Dr claims all is well with wound and pacer is doing what he had hoped. Back to work(kitchen GM) and walking around the neighborhood with no issues. Feel good, I guess I was a bit more symptomatic than I realized before the implant. Looking to get back to fishing/bowling/golfing soon. I was nervous pre surgery about how comfortable I would be with it inside me. I got over that pretty quick when I realized I feel better and have more energy.

Welcome to the club! Glad you are feeling better and otherwise returning to normal.
Soon, you will forget that the device is even inside of you.
Take care

Godrew, so good to receive your update and to know that you have survived your implant and that you are feeling so much better already. I hope you continue to do well. I can remember my fears too at implant, wondering if I would ever be the same person again, how my implant would feel and so many other questions. Well no I am not the same person, and thank goodness for that. My heart rhythm is steadier at last and I no longer feel so cold from having such a low, pausing heart beat.
No doubt you will soon be back to your activities but pace yourself until you are fully healed and your doctors are happy for you to return to your hobbies.
