Seriously, this is something to talk over with the doctor who is prescribing heart medicines for you.
CoQ10 is useful in some areas, not so much in others. And it can interfere with some of the drugs given for clotting conditions.
In addition, it's a pricey ingredient. One of the ways supplement manufacturers make money is putting large amounts of cheap ingredients in a formulation, but small amounts of coQ10. There are a lot expensive, but essentiallly useless formulations of coQ10 out there. If you're going to take it, you should be getting it from a pharmaceutical-grade supplier.
When it comes to supplements, it's buyer beware.
I've never had an issue....

I have never had an issue with CoQ10. From what I understand it is useful for people taking a statin as those tend to destroy CoQ10 levels. Keep in mind that I am NOT a doctor and you should not take medical advice from me. Use at your own risk, just sharing my experience while also using Zocor or Astorvastatin (statins), Amiodarone(antiarhythmic), Bisoprolol(Beta blocker), Enalapril(Ace inhibitor), Xarelto(anti coagulant), and then supplements Magnesium, Zinc, Arginine, Carnitine, Taurine, D3, K7 (goes with D3 just like CoQ10 goes with Statins) in varying degrees/dosages. You need to research well and eep in mind when and how to take them. Fat soluable need to be taken with a meal and some you need to seperate for example K7 and D3, one with breakfast the other with dinner, they work together to distribute calcium so it doesn't settle in your arteries but in your bones instead as it should.
As for quality of the products, most of the larger name brands are usually good quality but there are knock offs and garbage look alikes out there so use caution purchasng online etc.
And finally, I am not a medical professional, you should not lilsten to me!
Good luck!

Seriously, these are the sorts of questions for your medical team. We can't know your history, nor are we qualified to give medical advice.
I don't believe in taking supplements willy-nilly. They're usually snake oil, can interfere with medications you're taking, or can even be dangerous in their own right. I take several but every one has been prescribed by a doctor and all are disclosed in my patient information.
