Lifting

On my discharge paper it mentions no lifting, pushing heavy things.  Wondering if this means from now on out?  I use an upright walker and need to lift in and out of car.

No, it just means for the first four to six weeks. You should have been given instructions about not reaching above your shoulder, not to fully extend your arm, etc.  Use that same timing. After that, do pretty much anything you feel like doing.   Be your new you.

Hi Naj - I hope you are feeling well in your recovery. I felt fortunate myself to find that I could in fact lift and carry heavy things after PM implant. Had to be careful at first post-surgery, but it didn't take long to get back to normal. A quick search shows that a foldable walker weighs about 15 lb, so you should be fine. Best wishes to you.
