Does anyone get a echocardiogram done by your primary care doctor instead of your cardiologist.

GP did so she could make some money, sent it over to Cardiolgist to read. Was before i had a cardiologist. Now the cardio does which makes sense.

Your PCP can't read/interpret the results so there really isn't any point in having him do it. That's your cardiologist's job. Have him do it. Your cardiologist is a better judge to tell you how often you need one. Doctors should stay in their lane.

My regular doc doesn't do this however my cardiologist has a sonographer do them in the cardio office and the cardiologist reads it and watches as it's being done.
