Pacemaker

Last night my pace maker started making small electric type pulses every few minutes.  Felt like the sensation when you stick your tongue on batteries.  Its has been just over a year ut was put in.  Is this normal?

Vibration or sound

A vibration or a beeping sort of sound signals that some sort of intervention is needed, often low battery.  Only some pacemakers do this.  Little shocking sensations are almost certainly to be nerves acting up.  It's always worth a check, though, if for no other reason than peace of mind.

I have had my pacemaker for 6 months.  I recently had a strange, intermittant, vibration in my lower abdomen. Itv lasted a couple days. I called my cardiologist to have this checked out.  By the time I got in the vibrating had stopped. Doctor says it has nothing to do with the pacemaker (?) and is most likely a nerve twitch. My pacemakers was checked and is working fine.  There are quite a few posts on this forum about people having similar expreriences. It helps to know what others are experiencing.  I thinkg it's always woth checking anything unusual out.

Bad vibrations

I get these nerve twitches all the time. I often look at my watch thinking it is a notification. Nope, nothing.

We tend to blame every bump in the night on our pacemaker but it's really at the bottom of the reality list. Not to say that this is not worth reporting to your doctors but without any other information, it's not worth stressing over.  We have enough stress in our lives. We don't need to invent any more.
